Following a significant upgrade, the Hamburger Containerboard mill in Corlu, Turkey, is now online again.
With an investment of almost eight mio. Euro the machine setup was updated significantly. This leads to an increase in production from 60.000 to 85.000 tons/year with a production speed of 680m/min. In addition, a new stock preparation concept was integrated to handle the higher paper volume. The paper quality was increased by installing two head-boxes and various other measures. Overall, the project was managed smoothly thanks to our internal task force.
The updated plant will help us to provide the paper supply we need and to reinforce our market position in the challenging Turkish market.
