The integral element of the Holding’s CSR policy is acting as "good citizen" in 15 European countries. Beyond paying significant tax revenues in the countries where production units are operating the company group members also support local cultural, educational and sport life as well as participate in national environmental actions.
The Vienna based Prinzhorn Holding is a major supporter of the Austrian Hungarian Educators Association (AMAPED) helping children of Hungarian families living in Austria to exercise their right to their mother tongue and to learn the Hungarian language. In Austria, where currently no bilingual education is available there is a great demand for Hungarian language and linguistic lessons and education. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian events in 1956 the Austrian Association of Hungarian Teachers organized high-quality series of commemoration events. Closing the commemorative year and rewarding the collaborative work of teachers and children AMAPED organized a two days trip to Budapest which was supported by the Prinzhorn Holding in addition to other sponsors.
